Air Discount for Scots (http://www.airdiscountscheme.com) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Air Discount Scheme (ADS) tackles the problem of high air fares for the remotest communities in the Highlands and Islands by providing a discount of 40% on the core air fare on eligible routes. The Air Discount Scheme is available to all “eligible persons” whose main residence is in one of the following defined eligible areas: * Western Isles * Orkney Isles * Shetland Isles * Islay and Jura * Caithness * North-West Sutherland There are restrictions re onward flights, already financed flights etc. People eligible for membership of the Scheme fill in an application form available from airports and other offices.
